风土特征表达着建筑的意义,体现着场所精神,对人类的生存和发展起着重要作用.以泉州市东美花苑规划为范例,分别介绍工程概况、整体布局、道路体系、绿地及小品设计、风土特征的再现.着重阐述了居住小区中如何创造舒适、优美的生活以及在建筑布局、建筑造型中如何体现风土特征.指出风土特征具有在改造外来文化时凝聚当地艺术的潜力,应当成为当今闽南建筑在世界化背景下的立足点.
